The Global Luxury Hotel Excellence Awards™ are a research output of the LHB Research Institute. The methodology is disclosed in full so that every recognition is defensible on its evidence.
Evidence Base
Recognition is derived from the Luxury Hotel Knowledge Graph™ — the Institute's proprietary record of hotels, groups, owners, operators, transactions and awards.
Analytical Frameworks
The LHB Luxury Positioning, Heritage Significance, Investment Confidence, Operational Complexity and Guest Experience frameworks are applied uniformly across all candidates.
Editorial Deliberation
The Editorial Board convenes formally each cycle. Deliberations are minuted and archived.
External Correspondents
The Institute maintains a network of senior correspondents — architects, general managers, chefs and hoteliers — whose confidential observations inform analysis but never determine outcomes.
Non-Solicitation
Hotels do not submit themselves. They are considered, or they are not. Consideration is a research decision, not a request.
Publication
Outcomes are published simultaneously in the Excellence Awards Annual and permanently archived in the Hall of Excellence.
